Hello,
I'm Chris.
Thanks for stopping by!
Chris Torossian (he/him)
Freelance writer with a passion for gut-punch storytelling and informative reporting,
everything with a touch of levity.
I am an Oakland-based creative writer with credits in both digital and print publications. The majority of my work is in video games media as a freelance reporter, focusing heavily on conducting interviews and writing well-researched features to highlight all the cool things about video game development.
My poetry and stories highlight the dark, absurd tendencies of struggling with mental health and chronic illness through the lens of life, death, failure, and recovery.
I wrote some things:
Season: A Letter to the Future Creative Director Talks Player-Driven Story, World Building, and More
Personal Essay:
Visible Zero for Reformatting the Pain Scale
Flash Fiction:
Poem:
I also did a podcast:
Wrote, edited, produced, and published a live, audio/visual podcast with my best friend called After School Special Club. It was a podcast that focused on talking about current gaming news with a light-hearted, comedic tone. More here: apple podcasts / youtube
